Howdy there Gunpost. I've got a nice old Remington with an old school cool muzzle brake and choke system made by JC Higgins called the "Power-Pac". I believe the choke in it is cylinder bore as it's called "Close Range" on the choke itself. These models were made from 1949-1968. It's 12 Gauge 2 3/4 inch gun.
The shotgun has been nicely restored and is in overall very nice condition. The stock has a Pachmayr rubber recoil pad added to it. It's still quite soft and pliable so it should help with recoil and be comfortable to shoot. The hole in the magazine cap has been enlarged. This was most likely to put a standard size sling stud on it. The checkering is nice and sharp and gives you a nice grip on the shotgun.
