12  GA  BEEUTIFUL

SERIAL  NUMBER 30000 ,   PERFECT   FOR  PHEASANT  HUNTING ,   5  CHOKES   30  INCH  BARREL

Carl started this company in Munich in 1854 and earned the reputation for producing the highest quality firearms but was taken over by RWS in 1927. This gun was imported by Simson & Co. Barrels were made in Suhl. This appears to be a presentation model or grade. Beautiful scroll engraving on top barrel breech with blued barrels and full vent rib. Majority of un-finished metal is jeweled. Rib has maker legend in gold with The Simson and Suhl also in gold. Barrels have single white ivory bead front sight. The side lock receiver features full coverage, very finely executed scroll engraving, case color, with two gold inlay ducks in flight on left side and pheasants on right, both set in a vignette oval. The trigger guard is also fully engraved with two gold geese at base and gold inlay. Simson in script at base of receiver. Gun sports a single Miller trigger. The walnut straight grip stock is finely checkered. The matching forearm features the same decoration.  LOP  14.5.   The lines per inch checkering is very fine and appears to be about 30. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 90% blue with scattered wear and handling marks. Bores are bright. Lock up is tight. Wood is superb with minor impressions. Cannot image what the cost would be to replicate the quality and finish of this gun today.
