Selling a nice example of a Cooey 84 in 28ga that had to be cut down. Took me a while to find this one in good shape and for a decent price but sadly the barrel tip was damaged in transit beyond repair. My gunsmith did a really nice job cutting it down to 19.5", crowning it and replacing the front bead.
The gun is in good shape overall. No rust. Bluing lose and case hardening gone. Wood is nice with the tinyiest hairline crack at tang and I little chip behind recieve (see photos). Bore is good. Mechanically sound. Numbers matching.
If by some chance you have decent model 84 (not 840) in 28 gauge with full barrel and want to trade, I could go for that. Not really looking for other trades but would maybe consider an anschutz bolt repeater, a .222, Iver Johnson 20 gauge single in really shape (Cobourg)... obviously plus or minus a little cash.
