Vintage Ranger 12 Gauge Belgian Side-by-Side Shotgun
For sale is a vintage Ranger 12-gauge side-by-side hammerless shotgun, Belgian made and proofed in Liège.
The shotgun features a traditional double-trigger action, pistol-grip walnut stock with checkering, and engraved/decorated receiver. The barrels are marked with Belgian proof marks and 12-65, indicating 12 gauge with 65 mm chambers. Additional markings include 18.2 bore markings and matching/associated numbers including 4352.On side of left barrel “ TESTED FOR SMOKELESS POWDER BELGIUN”
The gun retains considerable original character and is an interesting example of an older Belgian trade shotgun marketed under the Ranger name. The wood has attractive figuring and the receiver has decorative engraving.
Condition: Used/vintage condition with considerable finish wear and signs of age. Metal shows areas of wear and surface oxidation/pitting consistent with its age. Stock and checkering show normal wear. Please examine the photographs carefully for overall condition.
I have not represented this shotgun as mechanically tested or certified for firing. The buyer should have the firearm inspected by a qualified gunsmith before use, particularly given its age and the 65 mm chambers. It should not be assumed suitable for modern ammunition without professional inspection.
