Ithaca Single Barrel Trap – Victory Grade
The Ithaca Victory Grade Single Barrel Trap (SBT) is one of the finest examples of an American-made trap shotgun. Introduced during the early 1920s, the Victory Grade was designed as the entry-level model in Ithaca's prestigious Single Barrel Trap line. Despite being the "base" grade, it was built to the same high mechanical standards as the more elaborate engraved grades, making it one of the best values ever offered to competitive trap shooters. The Victory Grade was intended to provide an affordable, competition-ready shotgun without sacrificing the legendary strength and reliability for which Ithaca became famous.
The Victory Grade typically features:
- 12-gauge chambering
- 32" or 34" full-choke barrel
- American black walnut stock with hand-cut checkering
- Blued receiver with tasteful engraving
- Strong boxlock action with top lever
- Automatic ejector
- Excellent balance and handling characteristics
Although lacking the elaborate engraving and exhibition-grade walnut found on Special models, the Victory Grade shares the same robust action and outstanding shooting qualities. Many experienced shooters considered it the best value in the Ithaca trap gun lineup because virtually all of the money went into performance rather than ornamentation.
One of the defining features of the Ithaca Single Barrel Trap is its exceptionally smooth lock-up and crisp trigger pull. These characteristics, combined with excellent barrel regulation and strong factory full chokes, made the guns highly competitive for trap shooting.
Although not fully Original theys Victory Grades are increasingly sought after by collectors and shooters alike. Their historical significance, limited production compared to standard field guns, and reputation for quality have made them desirable pieces of American firearms history.

Lock up is still like a vault with triple locking lugs and lots of cam travel and locking surface, this gun is perfectly safe to use and will be for another 100 years
