Wanted: Hunter Gear for my First Ever Moose Hunt

Hi all,

There’s a chance I’ll be joining a moose hunt this October with a group. While I’m an avid sport shooter, this would be my first hunting trip. I’ll eventually need to put together a basic clothing kit, so I’m reaching out to see what might be available.

To clarify—I’m not aiming to build a top-tier gear collection. Many in the group follow the “buy once, cry once” mindset, but I’m just looking for affordable essentials to get started for a 10-day trip. I’m open to second-hand or mid-tier items.

For sizing: I’m 5’8”, around 190 lbs, usually wear size Large shirts and 34–36 waist pants.

If you have gear for sale, any leads, or tips for a first-time hunter, I’d really appreciate it.
