I would never be here giving somebody a 1/5 especially just for asking a question, but this guy Alan gave me a 1/5 for asking him a logical question that happened to be a CORRECT Question
I Bought a Crosman Remington 1875 CO2 pistol off Alan and noticed that there was two holes in the hammer and thought there was supposed to be a firing pin as I did not know for sure n I had no pellets or CO2 to fire the pistol, but why the 2 holes?
So I texted Alan….:
Hi alan I just noticed the firing pin is missing
I just received the gun and was looking it over n hadn't even fired it yet as I had no ammo or co2 cylinders was making a target box n noticed it was missing
And Alan responded back seemingly upset and said:
Thats impossible as i was firing it just before i packed it to make sure.
And airguns dont have firing pins
After texting with Alan I got CO2 n Pellets n tested the gun n worked without the firing pin n side pin
BUT then what does Alan do!..
He first BLOCKS me from texting him back why I asked the question and that I saw that there IS supposed to be a firing pin
And THEN He gives me a 1/5 on my review n a very disparaging comment just for asking if there was a firing pin missing.
He Says in my 1/5 review: Sold this dude a perfect airgun. He tried to complain that the firing pin was missing. Would never sell him anything again.
So I did some more research and sure enough saw that there was supposed to be a firing pin or a nib n and retaining pin Mounted on the side of the hammer.
I contacted Crossman, they said there was a pin but had none, so they gave me to a repair dealer and he said there was a firing pin n had a spare hammer with pin installed and I also found a photo of a person here selling this 1875 pistol n ALSO showing the firing pin. Also my friend came over with HIS Remington 1875 and his gun HAS a firing pin n retaining pin in the hammer..
And MORE PROOF, if you look at the Remington 1875 pistol schematic which Crosman sent me, there is a firing pin Mounted inside the hammer n and side retaining pin shown in blowup #4..They are Parts # 4-02, 4-03 and part 4-04.
Even the manual SHOWS a firing pin in Figures 3,4, 5 n 6 ...
I would never give somebody a review of 1/5 just for asking a question even if it sounded ridiculous to me at the time, but obviously this dude does and I am commenting here so others know when they look at my review why I have a 1/5 just for asking a perfectly good question that I was correct in asking..
I also contacted GunPost about this and they responded back with the following comment: …
Hi,
Sorry to hear that.
I have gone through the conversation and agree that the Remington 1875 CO2 has a firing pin.
What I would suggest is posting a negative feedback for this user as well.
SO my 1/5 review for this guy
SO BEWARE asking any questions from this guy cuz he will give you a 1/5
