Purchased an SVT-40. Rifle arrived bouncing around in box, no packing material at all inside (side from 10 stripper clips). There was a crack in the wrist area of the stock, which was unknown to me previous to receiving the rifle. Crack appears to be quite old and dark. Took photos and sent to this member, who claimed that it must have happened during shipping from AB to NB. I told the seller the crack in the stock was unacceptable to me, as if it occurred during shipping, it would have obviously been from lack of packing material and the fact that on the walk out of the post office the rifle was bouncing and sliding around in the box. I now believe the crack has been present for a while, and after posting some pictures around and consulting people of higher knowledge, the consensus is the crack has definitely been around for a long time. Seller told me there was nothing he could do, and didn’t reply to my email. So if you’re buying make sure it’s F2F transaction so you can thoroughly inspect…..
