Buyer beware with this guy. Advertised 240 rounds of PPU 303 british ammo. I asked if it was the 174grain, he replied it was. His ad showed a bunch of loose rounds, leading me to believe it was new-production, but when i drove the hour or more to meet up he handed me a bunch of 15-round boxes of 50+ year old military surplus ammo from a factory that would later become PPU... first red flag. He assured me they were boxer primed brass, which was the only reason I wanted them in the first place, so I could reload them later. He then told me he only had 210 of them, not 240 like advertised...second red flag. So we agreed on a new price and went our seperate ways. I got home, did some quick research of the headstamp and saw right away they are berdan-primed brass meant for machine gun use (loaded too hot for Lee Enfields). Had he not posted a bogus picture on his gunpost ad I would have been able to see they were not what he was advertising and figured this out before i got scammed out of $400. I pulled a bullet and they were 190grain, berdan primed brass. Absolutely useless to me. I let him know and asked for some of my money back since he ripped me off, he said he'd send me $50...what a joke. He never did send me penny. Absolutely WILL NOT deal with this clown again. I suggest you don't either. Its one thing to not know what you have, its another to lie to a potential buyer that you're selling something you're not
There was some misunderstanding with the rifle part I had purchased from blanketstatement and only realized it once I received it. I reached out to him to see if there was something we could do, he was quick to respond and figure out something to work between us. Solid guy, would recommend.
Honestly seems like a really good guy! Verified my PAL & we made a very simple transaction. Ended up chatting for 10 or 15 minutes about whatever… Very knowledgeable dude!
