Although this seller has threatened me with a retaliatory review if I share my experience, I am taking this risk anyway to protect the honest folks on gunpost.
Short version: We agreed on a deal, I sent the funds, he confirmed, then he cancelled the deal due to receiving a better offer after accepting my payment.
Long version: He had an 870 barrel for sale. I said I'll take it, he gave me an email to transfer the funds to, and I transferred his full asking price. He asked for the etransfer password and deposited the funds into his account. Later that day, I inquired about some extras he had mentioned in the ad. When he told me the price, I asked if he would ship all in for that extra amount. At this point he disclosed that he did not actually have the extras with him and it would be about a week before he could ship. Due to the unreasonable delay, I declined the extras and informed him I would prefer to stick with the already agreed upon and paid deal.
This is when killingmachine decided to cancel the deal we had already made and I paid for. He told me somebody else had made a better offer minutes after I paid him. He did offer to refund an extra $25 for the inconvenience, which I agreed to, but he cancelled that deal as well. So technically I should be posting 2 negative reviews since he cancelled 2 agreed upon deals. If he had followed through with the $25 inconvenience fee he had offered, I would have left a 3 star rating, however, he cancelled that as well so the rating is a 1-star. He also tried to get me to buy all the extras as an alternative to cancelling the deal, but I wasn't ok with the unreasonable delay and my trust was seriously diminished at this point. I tried to negotiate price due to these factors, because I did still want the barrel. I ended up agreeing to the $25 inconvenience fee and deal cancellation. To be clear, he never followed through with that $25 cancellation fee we agreed on.
Killingmachine may claim that I am in fact the one who cancelled the deal because I inquired about the extras. This is a lie. I inquired about the extras after paying full asking price for the barrel he had posted and available. When he disclosed that the extras were not actually in his possession and I would have to wait a week, I declined on the extras.
Although he did refund the money I originally transferred. The guy is a bit slippery and not completely honest. Be careful when dealing with him and do your due diligence.
