Transaction was smooth and I would gladly recommend this seller to everyone. The seller ensured I had a valid PAL, and scheduling a time was easy and flexible. Even added a sling for me which I was very happy about.
While the individual seemed both easy to communicate with and reasonable to negotiate with, I have to raise a flag of concern.
A deal was negotiated for a firearm he had listed for sale, and a time / place to meet up and conduct the exchange was arranged (to be fair, this was drawn out over the course of a few weeks due to work constraints on my part as well as a funeral the seller had to attend one of the only days I was free). He requested a copy of my PAL a day prior to the meeting, which I provided electronically. The next day, he informed me that someone else had offered substantially more cash, and that he would be accepting the other person's offer.
While on one hand I don't expect people to lose out on money if some buyers are willing to offer higher amounts over asking, it does make me concerned that the deal was cancelled so quickly after a verbal agreement had been reached (the reconfirmed the day prior to our meeting) and I after had sent a copy of my PAL electronically. I will have to hope that this seller is a stand-up individual (i.e. wasn't just fishing for personal information), and will now have to watch to make sure no strange trasacations occur in regards to my PAL.
