I must correct myself on the above comment. After three months , the item finally arrived. It is exactly as described by the seller; the condition of the item is as I expected to be.
So it was bad of me to think I was scammed on it. Looks like there was a honest mistake on shipping (I still don't know hows that possible; my address is on the package but no return address, rather a P/O in Toronto. Was it first lost and re-routed by CanadaPost? A mystery to me).
I have paid but never received the item I paid for. No tracking number was ever provided by this squid thing person, so it is unknown to me whether it was shipped to a wrong address, cancelled by mail, or not shipped at all. Is squid thing a scammer, or is it just a dud with, so to speak, complete lack of basic business competences? The outcome for me is about the same: lost money, lost time, received no item.
