According to Lee Precision and online pundits the Lee factory crimp die is safer and more accurate than the regular crimping method in a regular seating die.  Instead of relying on all the brass being perfectly the same and the cannelure being right, the Lee factory crimp die uses mandrels to squeeze the crimp into the side of the brass/bullet instead of rolling the brass in as it is pushed down.

This makes a more consistent and stronger crimp.

You therefore get more reliable pressure build up curves as well as being able to crimp wherever you wish instead of in a cannelure.

And the bullets cannot move inside of the brass under recoil.

Damn, as I type this I'm starting to change my mind...

But actually I need to reduce my overload of loading equipment and will have to just do with the crimp of my Hornady 3 die set.

Shipping is cheap and easy, especially if you buy a number of my items.

The Canada Post 'Ship Anywhere In Canada for 1 Price' boxes range from ~ $20 - $35 and you can stuff as much in as fits as long as it is not over 5kg.

Prolly get 4-6 die sets in a $25 box.

You pay for shipping and I will do all the legwork.

Cheers,

Cody
