While the scale can measure up to 1,500+ grains, it is a high-precision, low-capacity analytical balance, not a high-capacity scale, making it ideal for weighing small powder charges with extreme precision. Works better than the f x models and works even better with the expencive auto trickler Then the fx does  the f x only goes down to the hundredth of a grain the HR takes it down even further it will go down to the thousands of a grain
