Wanted: 7.62x39 Lee Enfield

 I want to convert an old Lee Enfield Sporter from .303 British to 7.62x39.  In the research I've done, this has been done before by some Kyber pass smiths and an Australian company.

As well there seems to be four major components to making this feasible:

1. Cutting & shortening the chamber to the length of the new round.

2. Welding a lip onto the bolt head, to account for the new rounds smaller base diameter.

3. Modifying the extractor to reach further, so it properly extracts the new round's spent case.

4. Not an absolute necessity, but I'd like this project to be able to accept Ak mags. So the magazine catch lips would need to be shaved down/modified.

The one local gunsmith I discussed this with, without going into much detail, was weary of this project without a pre made kit. If someone knows if such a kit exists, I'd appreciate it if you let me know. Otherwise any tips, ideas or useful info would likewise be appreciated.
