This chronograph can be paired with a conventional tripod (standard camera tripod) and set up to easily and reliably capture velocities. The app works well, you can run multiple strings in one outing and have them saved and exported to your phone.  

I've used this unit to get started with reloading 308s and it did very well, but I've decided to invest in a more convenient package (Athlon Rangecraft Doppler radar).

The chronograph unit comes with the light shades, metal rods and a carrying case for the whole kit.
