An original Mills/Orndorff 1881 patent, brass dog's head ( dog's name was Remington ) buckle, mounted on a good quality, vintage, DIXIE GUN WORKS, belt which can accommodate  30-40 Krag, 30-30, .357, 38-55, 40, and 44 magnum ammo ( for which I used it with both carbines and pistols ). The loops are currently quite tight for 45-70 but if the belt is soaked for a couple of hours in warm water, the loops can be gently stretched with 45-70 casings and allowed to dry, in order to to easily accommodate 45-70 gov't. rounds.  These civilian buckles were also used by U.S. Troops with civilian marked SPALDING belts, in Cuba and the Philippines during the Spanish-American War, due to the severe shortage of available, military equipment.  I am willing to ship ( flat rate within mainland Canada is $18.00 ) or offer local pick up --- I am also in Red Deer one day per week and can arrange to meet there or enroute for delivery.
