Item 1: WWI Dutch M1895 Hembrug Bayonet Set
A rare, complete example of a Dutch M1895 Infantry Bayonet, featuring the highly desirable long "T-back" blade. This piece is a premier collector's item due to its matching markings and intact leather components.
- Manufacturer: Hembrug (Artillerie Inrichtingen), Netherlands.
- Markings: Crisp "HEMBRUG" stamp on the ricasso and the early "Crown over B" inspection mark (Inspector E.B. Brossois).
- Serial Number: 219 H is clearly stamped on the crossguard.
- Scabbard & Frog: Includes the original leather scabbard with the rare wire-reinforced chape (tip) still intact. The original leather frog is present; please note it is missing a couple of rivets due to age, which is common for field-used gear.
- Significance: This is a significant piece of WWI-era Dutch military history. Complete, matching sets with intact leather are increasingly difficult to find.
Item 2: WWII German K98 Mauser Combat Bayonet
An authentic WWII German K98 (98k) combat bayonet from a well-known Solingen manufacturer. This "salty" piece carries a heavy "field-relic" aesthetic.
- Manufacturer: Berg & Co., Solingen.
- Serial Number: 9522 c is clearly visible on the blade.
- Grips: Features original carved wooden grips. Please note the handle is not unbroken; it shows significant field wear, including a missing section and age-related splitting near the crossguard.
- Condition: The blade and guard show oxidation and character consistent with an item that saw actual combat service. It remains a genuine, unrestored example of German frontline hardware.
This pair offers a unique opportunity for a militaria collector to acquire two authentic service weapons from both World Wars.
