WW1 Canadian Ross Rifle Co MkII Bayonet dated 1916 with 1909 leather covered steel Scabbard and Frog

The right hand side of the Pommel is stamped Ross Rifle Co, Quebec, Patented.1907

The left hand side of the pommel is dated 11/16 with the additional number 11 (which indicates MkII pattern) stamped to the right of the Canadian Broadarrow stamp.  It is also proof marked on the left side as well as in 2 locations on the spine between the grip panels.

The Scabbard is stamped RRC (Ross Rifle Co) and dated 1909 along with the Canadian Broadarrow stamp.

The release button functions as designed.

Overall Length – with blade in scabbard  - 15 ½”

Length of Bayonet –  14 ¼”

Length of Grip including the Guard – 4 ½”

Blade Length – 9 7/8”
