Up for sale is a unique production knife that really pushed the envelope of design innovation and craftsmanship when it first came out. Despite Reate being a relatively young brand, it has come out with several products that make even the most avid knife nuts turn their heads. The J.A.C.K 2.0 was definitely one of them. Too bad it's been discontinued.

The J.A.C.K 2.0 features a replaceable hand rubbed satin blade that's just about 4" long, made of M390 steel. The knife is much lighter than it looks because the integral titanium handle is heavily skeletonized and dressed with carbon fiber overlays. The blade is also partially titanium, with only the replaceable blade portion and the pivot/lock interface portion made of M390, a truly mind blowing piece of engineering.

Also included are some replacement parts and a comb blade. This would allow you to take the folding comb with you when travelling, enjoying the company of the knife without the blade.

By the way, during deployment, the flipping and locking action makes a very unique sound that resembles the sound of finger snapping. I've never heard this on any other of my folders. I was fascinated by it, and still am.

I tried to capture all the stunning details of the knife, but I'm limited to 10 photos. Please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to see more photos or even short videos.
