At almost 2 feet when open, the Opinel N013 is a huge knife and is commonly used as a machete. Many people also use this knife to barbecue, you can easily cut and or flip meat on the grill and the handle does not transfer heat. Stabilized beechwood is ultra resistant and comfortably contoured to fit the hand. The blade is made from 12C27 Sandvik Stainless steel, which will not rust, however try to avoid leaving your Opinel knife in damp environments for too long and dry the blade after each use. This is a very large knife.
