Smart Brockville Hatchet - Diamond G-Line

I have a nice condition Smart Brockville (Brockville, Ontario) Diamond G-Line hatchet for sale. These were manufactured by James Smart Manufacturing Co. (operated from 1860-1965) and this one dates to the 1920s-1930s.

It has a drop forged carbon steel head measuring 6" with a 2 1/4" edge. there is some damage on the hammer end, please see pictures (but this is around a 100 years old).

The handle has been refinished, has had three (3) coats of boiled linseed oil applied and a cowhide leather wrap has been added to provide a firmer grip. 

The hatchet is 12 1/4" in overall length.

Overall a nice piece and it holds a good edge.
