SINGLE ACTION! Bought these 'cause it was supposed to be .44 Russian.
It ain't.
Russian is too big, so's .44-40. .44 American rattles in the chambers. Serial in the barrel latch matches the cylinder. It's not .44 Henry rimfire with a hammer like that. I dunno what the heck it is.... Except that it's a SINGLE ACTION
Trigger guard, cylinder, extractor star, hammer assembly with unbroken stirrup, pawl(hand), cylinder stop (bolt) and it's pin, side plate screws, hinge pin, and trigger(dented). Bore is good, despite the photos that make it look like hell every time for some reason. All for a SINGLE ACTION
Lotsa very useful stuff for a SINGLE ACTION S&W no. 3 single action.
JUST IN CASE ANYONE MISSED IT... IT'S A SINGLE ACTION.
Did I mention that it's a single action... NOT a double action.
