Have a gas tube that you want to replace the handguard on? Well now you can replace the rivet after it’s drilled out. Made of aircraft grade aluminum, these rivets are easy to install and I include a spare (2x rivets per order) just in case the first doesn’t go to plan.

Instructions:

  • Drill out original rivet with a 3/32 drill bit and replace the handguard.
  • Insert the new rivet in the hole ensuring the ferrule is properly aligned.
  • Cut the rivet to length. They are oversized to ensure you have enough material to account for variations in tolerances/damage (approximately 5/36 or greater will suffice).
  • Crush the rivet on both ends. This can be accomplished with a vice, knipex smooth jaw pliers, or any tool that applies even pressure to both ends.
  • Trim the excess to allow your gas tube to be inserted with ease.

Shipping is included in the $10 price
