I have an antique status top break revolver for sale in 450 cal. This revolver was made in Belgium before 1893 as the stamp ELG in an oval on the cylinder shows. The left side of the barrel assembly is stamped CAL. 450. This revolver uses The Pryse patent which had a pair of levers on each side which engaged the top strap on closing to lock it shut. The levers snap into to places a d lock the frame shut tight . The revolver works as it should indexes and locks up well in single and double action but I have not shot it. The ejector works well ejects and snaps back into place as it should. The bore has deep well defined rifling with the typical roughness... will clean up better. The metal is smooth grey black overall with some very light pitting in a few places see pics. The grips are in fine condition made from bone or ivory.
