This is an early beautiful Smith & Wesson New Mod.#3 chambered in the popular .44 Russian. Much of the original blue remains as does case colour hardening on the hammer. The chambers on the cylinder are very good and though the rifling is strong, the barrel shows some black powder rippling but no major pitting. This should be an excellent shooter and it is mechanically perfect with 3 strong clicks when set into battery. It comes with a scarce and period correct Heiser holster which is collectible in itself.
As with all antiques, no PAL or registration is required but I do ask the the buyer be over 18.
