.40 cal double barrel coat pistol

Damascus barrel .40 cal gentleman's pistol.

Hammers have been repaired, and this model is equipped with safeties,(though I wouldn't bet my life on them). This is a very nice old pistol. Both actions have functional half cock and strong springs. Wood is in very good condition with a few scattered bumps. No pitting in the metal. Bore measures .42 inch.

Comes on a display with a pair of antique books (1826) a quill dip pen and inkwell, an old powder horn and a shot bag.
