One Allen & Thurber .31 cal pepperbox circa 1850. Action functions, all nipples intact. An antique tobacco snuff box, side knife with antler handle, a wicker wrapped flask, a handful of coins and a poker hand . Straight, jack high.

All items (except the box and balls) are genuine antiques, and correct to the period represented. The flask is from the civil war period, so of slightly more recent vintage. The coins; two half dollars, two dimes and a half dime, are culls, and are very worn (1841 to 1858) the side knife is unmarked, but is unquestionably of the same period. The cards came from a dealer ( forgive the pun ) in England who specializes in antique playing cards and were made in approximately 1860.

All items were purchased from dealers with excellent references.

The box is of my own creation. It is lined in oiled pigskin. There are small gaps in the seams, it's not a pro job. So look at the pictures carefully. I'll send more if you like. But l won't accept any returns if you are not satisfied with the quality of the display box..

nice little time capsule. And yes, if you were inclined to do so, you could probably shoot it.

Thanks for looking.
