Dieudonne Moray Double Action Revolver, .44 Russian This revolver is European clone of American Open top S&W 44Russid revolver with improved double action for fast combat and self defence with shorter and more controlled double action trigger pull due to internal mechanism and absence of actual hammer.
Quality of this revolver is actually surpasses the quality of original S&W.
The frame under the grip is marked "DD MORAY BTE" and "M MICHEL". Both Moray and Michel were gunmakers in Liege, Belgium during the late 19th century, however Michel have only supplied the frame for this revolver, and Moray is the actual maker. It is a double-action only, hammerless revolver chambered in .44 Russian. It bears pre-1894 Belgian proof marks, and serial number 5444 . The number "1" is stamped on the cylinder and lanyard swivel. Its in excellent condition with nickel intact. . The markings are sharp. The action is excellent and strong, and the cylinder indexes and locks properly. The bore of the 5 1/4 inch barrel is excellent and bright, with sharp and deep rifling. The hard rubber grips are excellent and undamaged. SN 5444.
