Description

This 1849 Colt is serial number 135947 and is all matching except for the no number replacement wedge. It was made in 1857 and has a 4” barrel. The mechanical function is very good and it has a very good bore with strong rifling. It has 40% cylinder scene and retains 40% silver on the trigger guard and back-strap. The frame has turned dark and the barrel and cylinder are a plum color with traces of blue showing through. During the Civil War, the quickest reload with a second 5 shot pistol. This could have been carried during the Civil War.
