Adams Patent Model 1872 MK 3 Revolver, Incredible Rare Package Of History

Hard to find the words to describe this spectacular original Adam's Patent 1872 Mark 3 in original wood storage box with accessories. These 1872s were issued to British officers at the time of the Zulu wars in Africa. This one was likely a private purchase, most certainly by someone with the means as it would have been a premium offering at the time, especially with the storage box/accessories and would have been financially out of reach financially for most. Chambere  in 450 Adams, 455 Webley fits well in the cylinder, 6" barrel, 6 shot. The deep original blueing on this revolver is in excellent condition for the vintage and retains aprox 85% or more. Top strap is marked JOHN BLANCHE & SON 29 GRACE CHURCH ST LONDON. The action on this revolver functions excellent in single and double action. Timing is spot on and lockup is rock solid with zero play. Half and full cock work perfectly. Bore and cylinder walls show nicely with some common wear from light use. The original checkered one piece grip is in great shape with factory slight dings/blemishes. Lanyard ring is not present and may have never been installed. The beautiful original dove tail corners wood storage box is in fantastic shape for being aprox 150 years old! The felt lining shows well. The included origina accessories are: cleaning rod, flat screwdriver and an oiler marks James Dixon & Sons Sheffield. The removable interior lid handle appears to be ivory. The box key is present and it does engage the lock and the locking mechanism is in working condition. Would be very hard to upgrade from this fantastic compilation, this is a museum/ investment quality package. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
