Definitely the most iconic, recognizable sidearm revolver, Colt Single Action Army. Often credited as the gun that one the west! No antique gun compilation is complete without one or more examples of this fine sidearm. This example was produced in 1896 and has the desirable push button center pin release vs the earlier screw type, these frames are referred to as the "smokeless frame" even though one should still not use smokeless in these vintage pieces. This Colt has the desirable 4 3/4" barrel  and is chambered in 41 Long Colt. The revolver came blued from the factory but has since been nickeled. The action on this piece functions well with all 4 hammer click notches present. Timing and lockup are good, common 1-2mm movement in lockup. Bore has expected wear and scattered pits but rates good overall for the vintage. The grips are modern faux pearl replacements, they have some holding cracks. The exterior nickel shows bright, there is some nickel loss, namely on the ejector rod housing. Post nickel finish the barrel address and patent dates are not present, barrel caliber and serial numbers still very visible. Great option that the factory Colt letter accompanies this Colt! Definitely an eye grabbing example with the bright nickel and faux pearl grips. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Will include an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. $9350 includes Free Shipping. If you have any questions or need more pictures or video please feel free to ask.
