Colt Model 1877 Thunderer, 41 Caliber. Antique

Colt Model 1877 Thunderer in 41 Long Colt caliber, 4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Serial numbers match on frame, trigger guard and back strap and date it to 1882 production. The thunderer was a unique offering aside from the common 1873 SAA in that it was both double and single action. The thunderer was carried by lawmen and bandits alike. This example functions excellent in single and double action. All 3 hammer positions are present. Timing and lockup are great, lockup is rock solid with zero play. Bore and cylinder walls rate good for an antique revolver with expected wear. Original grips are in good shape also with expected wear. Barrel address, patent dates and serial numbers are bold, side barrel etch Colt 41 mark is present but light. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire.
