French Model 1822 Calvary Pistol in 67 caliber, 8" barrel. These were originally flintlock pistols and were converted to percussion as technology advanced. The action on this piece functions excellent. Half and full cock work excellent and solid, very strong mainspring and good hammer drop. Nipple is in good shape with expected wear. Loading rod is present. Wood shows old repaired crack. Calvary model lanyard ring is present. Lots of factory proofs/markings throughout. These are beefy, powerful in the hand pistols that would have been quite intimidating. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
