French Model 1873 Service Revolver

French Model 1873 service revolver. Manufactured in 1875. 4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered to accept 45 Auto Rim as well as 455 Webley. All French 1873's in original 11mm, 45 and 455 are antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Revolver will come with an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. These 1873's are often referred to as being over built, as such you get a very heavy duty revolver. The action on this piece functions excellent in single and double action. Timing and lockup are great. Half and full cock work well. All serial numbers match. Bore rates good with some areas of surface corrosion that should clean up better. Cylinder has an older, rougher reaming when converted to 45/455. From WW2 era and onward many of the French 1873's had their cylinders lightly reamed to accept 45/455 as original 11mm was obsolete.
