French Model 1873 Service Revolver, 45/455

French Model 1873 MAS Service Revolver, 4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Barrel is marked with the year 1892 as barrel  was arsenal installed post production. This revolver accepts 45ACP handloads and 455 Webley. All French 1873's in original 11mm, 45 or 455 are classed antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Revolver  will come with an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. This piece has a non original nickel finish that shows wear/flaking. The grips are a unique clear resin/fiberglass type material. I've owned a few French 1873's/German Reichsrevolvers with similar grips and was told previously they were WW2 era made from airplane window material, I can't say for sure. The grips fit well in the hand. The action functions well in single and double action. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are good, only slight common 2mm movement in lockup.
