French Model 1873 service revolver. Manufactured in 1884. 4.5" barrel, 6 shot. Chambered to accept reduced power 45ACP handloads as well as 455 Webley. All French 1873's in original 11mm, 45 and 455 are classed antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own. Revolver will come with an RCMP FRT printout showing antique status in Canada. These 1873s are very robust, well built revolvers that saw usage up into WW2! The action on this piece functions well in single and double action. Half and full cock work well. Timing and lockup are good, lockup has about 2mm of movement. Bore has corrosion area midway, is hard to photograph. Original grips have a non original finish applied at some point, lanyard ring is intact. If you need brass, lead or dies please inquire. Antique status in Canada, no PAL required to purchase or own.
