Last Reduction, THEN BACK IN VAULT- Antique Merwin .32

So far no serious offers, so back in vault  January 15 .  Beautiful Merwin & Hulbert  double action  32  seven shot with folding hammer.  This is the long cylinder version that qualifies as antique status in Canada. Chambered in 32  Merwin & Hulbert, which is recognized by the RCMP as 32 H&R.  The original cartridges are extremely rare, but you can shoot 32 S&W short and longs out of it, So long as you know the following, for the gun to work as designed you have to shorten 32 S&W  longs so the case clears the cylinder for extraction.  Both 32 short and longs will work but upon ejection any unfired shorts will also be ejected, without shortening any fired longs will need to either be shaken out or removed with your fingers.  You can also trim current 32 H&R magnum brass, and if checked at the range, you would have 32 H&R stamp on the cartridge base.

   Gun is tight and you can still feel the suction resistance when ejecting from the cylinder.  Has over 95% nickel , barrel markings are excellent, side marking and serial number on grip are very good plus. As defined by period advertisement is target version with the longer barrel.

Grips are excellent, bore is very good with clear rifling. .  A very good addition to any collection.

You should not use factory 32 S&W loads in this revolver, and definitely NOT current  32 H&R factory loads.

This is a blackpowder designed revolver and should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to shooting with proper loads.
