Fresh from the Canadian Nationals for Black Powder which just finished, in which I successfully shot this Bess in the Miquelet - Original Military Flintlock, standing, 50 Meters, I am offering this prize for sale.
1801 Dated Original Brown Bess Third Pattern Musket, Complete and Original. Very Good Bore, Excellent Wood, Excellent Markings on Metal and Wood. Museum Grade Firearm. Due to issue date and presence in Canada, it is nearly guaranteed to have seen Battle in the War of 1812. A true piece of our Canadian History!
I have shot this successfully three times this year, winning the "Napoleon Miquelet Trophy" from the Canadian Team!
After the National Competition, This Bess was serviced and curatorially cleaned by our Canadian Team Master Gunsmith, Walter Krawec of Oakville, Ontario. It is fully operable and safe to fire, as well as accurate.
You will NOT find a better condition Brown Bess with this kind of pedigree and care.
I am asking $1950, a very fair price, for this amazing piece of history. For asking price, shipping is included.
I am only selling because the vehicle my family relies on has broken down and is in need of serious repair or replacement.
Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely
Adrian
