I am selling an extremely rare 1777 Belgium marked and manufactured Charleville Artillery flint lock musket. Most of these guns were converted to percussion in early 1830s but this one is all original. These guns were used in the American War Of Independence, the American Civil War, War of 1812 and many other conflicts including the Napoleonic Wars. This gun has a huge branded name of Briam burned into the butt stock. The only reference I can find is for a Lewis Briam of the Virginia 58 Regiment CSA(Confederate States of America). Although this name occurs in less than one in twelve million the gun may have belonged to another soldier over time named Briam although unlikely. The gun has some very old crack repairs to the stock and sports a replacement scouring stick of steel. Correct brass pan and cock. Has all original furniture of iron with front sight on barrel. Barrel is 36 inches or 910mm. Over all length is 51 inches or 1,400 mm. Very few Artillery models were manufactured and only the Artillery muskets had a 36 inch barrel. Even fewer bear the Soldier's name branded in. A rare and valuable addition to any collection. Will ship anywhere in Canada at cost. OPEN TO TRADES FOR OVER AND UNDER 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN OR MODERN RIFLES in 25-06. Open to reasonable offers.
