Deactivated Matching Numbers MP40

1941 manufacture by C.G. Haenel, Waffen- u. Fahrradfabrik, Suhl with subcontracting by Gebrueder Merz, Merz Werk, Frankfurter.

New spec so no moving parts.  Comes with RCMP letter. It has been painted black. It’s been proposed that it came out of Cyprus in the 1980s although could have been a collector who did this. All visible numbers matching, although not all numbers are visible.  It looks like one of the welds melted some of the paint near the lower receiver (pictured), resulting in a textured, off look to it. Where the paint has chipped away, you can see underneath that most of the bluing is gone.
