Main Description: This rifle is marked J. Purdey 314 1/2 Oxford Street London, WA 422. Includes Wood Case with Paper Label marked J. Purdey Gun Manufacturer top of lid has a brass ring marked Edward Whitacre Davies Royal Canadian Rifles. There are no visible initials or name on the rifle. Blade front sight, V notched folding express rear sight, with one fixed and three folding leafs with platinum lines marked 100, 150 & 200. Octagon Damascus barrel, engraved rear tang with Lion's head, colour case hardened engraved game scene lock with checkered spur hammer that functions, safety and intact nipple. Engraved blued steel trigger guard with finger rest. One piece wood stock, single forearm wedge, checkered forearm with Horn tip, small crack on left side, checkered straight grip, cheek rest, steel butt plate with engraved tang marked WA 422 and game scene patch box, swivel studs, missing ramrod. Accessories include: Improved No 12 steel ball mould marked WD, Oil bottle with silver cap, two piece horn handle with engraved brass ferrule screwdrivers, brass capper, Eleys percussion cap tin, copper and brass powder flask marked James Dixon & Sons Sheffield, Shot/Powder measure with wood handle, nipple wrench with checkered wood handle which is cracked, steel large patch cutter, two ramrod tips and one patch remover.

Wear: Metal finish shows some scratches, handling marks and wear. Stock shows some marks, scratches and wear.
