Mauser K98 22LR Conversion

I have a pretty rare and unique milsurp Mauser for sale. This is a 22LR trainer conversion of a K98 that I purchased many moons ago. This rifle was originally manufactured during WW1 and even has 'GEW 98' stamped on the receiver, the markings are worn but it looks to be made by Mauser. At some point it was updated to the WW2 K98 standard. Interestingly it has some of the later 'Kriegsmodell' K98 features, like the oversize trigger guard, the lack of a bolt takedown disk, and the simplified front band. Finally it was converted to 22LR with a Remington barrel, possibly done by FN or the Israelis. I don't know a lot about this conversion but it shoots very well and the bore is in excellent condition. Due to the Canada Post situation, I would much prefer a local sale and am avoiding shipping in the near future.
