For sale is a fine example of a Swedish Mauser, a 1906 Carl Gustaf M96 in the famously accurate 6.5x55 calibre, which includes an original bayonet with leather frog, a leather sling, and 80 rounds (=4 new boxes) of PPU ammo. The listed price also includes the brand new Weatherby soft case featured in the photograph.
A beautiful rifle, with a good clean bore, only slightly dark but with solid rifling. Silky smooth action, as typical with these rifles. All of the parts are matching. Very good shape externally, in the handsome full-wood stock, with the kinds of minor scuffs one expects to see on a gun of this age.
I purchased this rifle very recently and haven’t had a chance to fire it, but the previous owner assured me it shoots and cycles beautifully. Simply moving it out of the safe to make way for an unexpected new acquisition.
