Mauser 1871 Carbine "K.Mod.71" made by Steyr in 1876 Barrel Uncut RARE NO PAL REQUIRED ANTIQUE STATUS

This is the carbine version of the Model 1871 Mauser, designated K.Mod.71 on the receiver.

It was made in Austria by Steyr - receiver marked as such

The barrel is the original 20 3/16" length - not cut down

The rear sight is the short carbine variant

It has a regular M1871 Mauser straight bolt currently installed

There are unit/division markings on the buttplate

Strong rifling, but with the standard pitting seen on old black powder weapons

Caliber 11mm Mauser

No PAL required as it is an antique status rifle (single shot with bore diameter over 8.3mm)

Asking $550 as it is a quite rare variant of the 1871 Mauser
