Tula Manufactured with The star-with-arrow stamp on the receiver/barrel is the Tula Arsenal acceptance/proof mark used on SKS production. Izhevsk’s mark from that era is a triangle with an arrow through it (a different shape entirely), so the star design rules that out.
“1951” date stamp also fits — Tula produced SKS carbines from 1949 through 1955/56, while Izhevsk only made them for a short run in 1953–54. A 1951-dated rifle couldn’t be Izhevsk.
The serial number prefix “ЛЮ” and the diamond-shaped inspector’s mark are consistent with typical Tula-era stampings of that period too.
This is a 1951 Tula Arsenal SKS — a fairly early production example. As you can see from the photos, there are a few handling marks, but outside of that this is a very good condition all around.
