Winchester M1 Garand M1D Sniper

For sale is a very rare Winchester M1D sniper rifle chambered in .30-06. This is an Ex-Danish Issue rifle built on a WWII Winchester receiver and includes the highly desirable FKF crown-marked M84 sniper scope and matching Danish stock serial number. 
This is a correct rifle, drawing numbers for parts listed below which put are in the same range of what you would expect for a mid 1944 built receiver. And of course the correct and original barrel with the D7312555 drawing number made by SA.

The rifle is in very good condition. The wood is solid with an excellent appearance, and the matching double serial number stamping in the barrel channel and stock - consistent with Danish practice of numbering stocks to the rifle's serial number. The rifling is great and optic is crystal clear. 

Winchester M1D rifles are among the most desirable Garand sniper variants. Only a limited number of WWII Winchester receivers were ultimately converted into the M1D sniper configuration, making them considerably scarcer than Springfield examples. This rifle is made even more desirable by its documented Danish service, including its matching Danish-numbered stock and authentic FKF-marked M84 scope. Denmark procured approximately 1,000 M84 scopes but the number paired with Winchester-based M1Ds remains unknown. The combination of a Winchester receiver, genuine M1D barrel, and Danish military provenance makes this a standout collector's rifle that is seldom encountered on today's market. 

I'm in no rush to sell this rifle. I believe it's priced very very fairly considering its rarity, originality, and overall quality. If it finds the right collector, great. If not, I'm perfectly happy to keep it in my collection next to my other M1D (which i'm on the fence if I really need two M1Ds - hence its for sale). Shipping not a problem, PAL is a must.
