I have a nice piece of history for sale. It is a 1891 Winchester Model 1873 in 44-40. It has a 24" octagonal barrel with the factory open sights. There is a half mag and a straight stock.The metal is mostly patina with no rust. The dust cover is loose but works . The bore is good and shootable. According the the Winchester book by George Madis , Only 270 1873 rifles came with a octagonal barrel and half mag.winchester made around 720000 of these rifles. I am asking $1599 OBO Plus Shipping.
