For sale is an exceptional, investment-grade, and completely original WWII British sniper rig. Manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) at their Shirley factory in 1944, this setup completely escaped post-war reworks. It is a fully unified, "as-issued" rig down to the metal, wood, scope tin labels, and the original wooden transit chest.

Highlights & Features

  • All-Matching Serial Numbers: The serial number is crisply stamped and completely matching across the receiver wrist, bolt handle, and underside of the forend wood.
  • Optics & Mount: Features an original No. 32 Mk III scope (dated 1945) with exceptionally clear optics, distinct adjustments, and original leather lens covers. The scope serial number is correctly hand-stamped onto the wrist of the buttstock, and the original cast iron mount is cleanly stamped with the rifle's matching serial number.
  • H&H Markings: Correctly stamped TR on the receiver ring, S on the right side of the receiver wall, and the classic S51 Holland & Holland conversion stamp on the underside of the wrist.
  • Accessories & Provenance: Includes the original steel scope tin in olive drab paint with matching stenciled markings. Crucially, the interior lid still retains both its original paper instructional label and the rare, intact "On His Majesty's Service" (OHMS) paper shipping label tracking the exact pairing of this specific rifle and scope.
  • Transit Case: Includes the original green-painted wood transit chest (Chest SA No. 15 Mk I) with correct internal wood cradles, felt padding, heavy leather carrying straps, and original paper equipment labels. A period-correct stitched leather target sling is also included.

Condition & Terms

The bore is exceptionally sharp with deep, bright rifling, and the mechanical lockup is tight and smooth. This is a rare opportunity to own a completely untampered, unified piece of history.
