🎖️ Ultra-Rare 100% Authentic WWII J.P. Sauer K98 "Sweptback" Sniper Rifle (1944)
An Absolute Grail Piece for Late-War German Militaria Collectors.
Offered here is an incredibly scarce, museum-grade 1944 J.P. Sauer & Sohn (ce 44) K98k Sweptback Sniper Rifle.
Sweptback snipers represent one of the most mechanically fascinating and short-lived experimental optics mounting solutions developed by the German Wehrmacht late in World War II.
Unlike the more common turret or side-rail mounts, the sweptback mount was specifically engineered to utilize the compact Gw ZF4 (Zielfernrohr 4-fach) scope while allowing the operator to cleanly cycle the bolt without interference. Finding a completely intact, unaltered survivor is a true rarity.
Key Features & Specifications:
- Manufacturer: J.P. Sauer & Sohn (ce receiver code)
- Year of Production: 1944
- Caliber: 8mm Mauser
- Optics: A period-correct GW ZF4 sniper scope secured via an authentic, late-war sweptback scope mount.
- Condition: Exceptional. Crisp metal finish, beautiful late-war laminated stock with correct stamps, and an immaculate, sharp bore.
- Provenance & Verification: 100% Authentic. This rifle has been thoroughly vetted by veteran K98 evaluators. Unlike the vast majority of "put-together" sniper clones or post-war humped pieces on the market, this is a verified original.
